My trip to Melbourne city-part 3
While I'm busy taking pictures of this Parliament building, there was a big commotion happened back in Malaysia but I'm not sure about that stuff, I think it was about the Bersih 2.0 Campaign. The campaign that talking about the Malaysian Election system...and bla, bla, bla, no comment...(Takut kena ISA). Done with that, and now I only want to talk about this beautiful building. This historical building was design by government architecture, Charles Pasley. The rumor said that he borrowed the design from The Leeds Town Hall, which is one of the finest Civic building in the world. This building situated at the Spring street in East Melbourne, which is at the edge of Melbourne city.
This building also one of the example of Roman Revival architecture. You can see the Roman architecture design, just by looking at the detail and structure of this building. This building is open to public, and if I'm not mistaken, they do have group tour too. I just wasn't so lucky at that time because I came alone, by myself taking pictures just from the outside. At least I have little pieces of memory of this building from these picture.
I hope that I can go back to Melbourne again and take a wide-angle shot of this building. Yes, I do have one, but I couldn't manage to stitch the pictures all together. I have to tweak around the pictures, and it took me so much time. That's why I just ignore it, really wasting my time.
P/S: Next time, bring your wide lens, to take pictures such as this historical building.

My trip to Melbourne city-part 2
Besides all that "Renaissance old style" building, Melbourne city also filled with various kind of "Modern Architecture" style building. The only problem that I had while taking the picture is the crowd. It was really hard to take the picture of those building at the closes distance. The only way was taking it from far distance. However, I'm still feeling lucky enough to take few of it.
Preserving the beauty of Renaissance architecture is not the only features of Melbourne cityscape.
Such a beautiful modern art building, this is the SBS TV station building at "Federation Square"-also called The Meeting Place.

My trip to melbourne city-part 1
The State Library of Victoria |
During my winter break this year, I went to Melbourne and spend my holiday there for two weeks. It was the best trip ever in my life, I guess. I'd never been to any beautiful city like Melbourne before, except Sydney, but for me Melbourne are more attracting compared to Sydney. I love the scenery of this city. Every single hour, every angle/position of the sun will show various scenery of the city. From time to time, I'll share bits and pieces of my story, my trip in Melbourne, The Place To Be..
One of the statue outside this building..there are 3 statue, as you can see from picture above.. |
this statue situated on the left side, a guy or a knight killing a dragon with his javelin.. |
This one, a lady, also a warrior, holding javelin.. |
